On Wednesday 5 Nov at 19.00 in room 13 Dave Barter will talk to our students about Guy Fawkes and Bonfire Night.
We have the honour and the privilege of having with us here today an accomplished history writer. His name is Dave Barter. He is a frequent contributor to the local English newspaper, The Daily Bulletin. One of his latest contributions has been his beautifully-written travelogue series of articles about his travels in Peru. In these articles not only did he talk about the breathtaking landscape he witnessed while there, but he also wrote extensively about how people live there, many of whom actually struggle to make ends meet living in shanty towns made of cardboard boxes.
But anyway, he is here with us today to talk about today's celebration.
